Courtney enjoys merging art music with popular music trends and is on a mission to expand the marimba’s scope by performing in unique settings and commissioning new works.

Courtney has performed with the Boise Baroque Orchestra, 208 Ensemble, Charleston Concert Band, Summerville Orchestra, and as a freelance solo and chamber artist.

She received her BM in Percussion Performance from Boise State University with Dr. John Baldwin and MM in Marimba Performance from Boston Conservatory at Berklee where she studied with Nancy Zeltsman.

Currently, Courtney performs throughout the Charleston area and teaches private lessons with a focus on helping each student find their unique musical voice.
